Scariest Moment of my Life

Thursday 24 November 2005 at 03:28 am

Yes, yesterday i was scared, more afraid than i've even been in my entire life.

Last night, Garion pulled a bowl/tub of boiling hot water down on himself. I wasnt there, but damn i got there fast. and i've honestly never been more afraid in my life. Not to mention the panic, which as always i handle ok till after the crisis is over but its still there, you still feel it.

He burnt his chest, arm and leg. But fast reactions from kirsty made sure the burns wern't bad. 2 seconds is all it takes for something like that to happen. no one to blame, was 100% and accident. still doesnt make me feel any better.

My brave little man though :) soon as he was in the ambulence he wasnt crying. to busy being nosey at all the new stuff around him, some tears in the hospital while they prodded him, but well garion doesnt like people touching his ears or that, and well when they were bandaging him up all he wanted todo was draw with the pen he'd taken from the doctor. no tears for the burns all over him, just cos pesky nurses and docs disturbing his drawning.

you never know what you'd do if someone you really love gets hurt, specially when you dont know how bad, but i'd gladly give my life for my son, and kirsty :) without even thinking twice about it.

Im proud of both of them tonight, cant even put into words how proud, proud of garion for being a brave little man especially under those circumstances, and proud of kirsty for holding it together till the paramedics arrived, and feeling slightly bad about myself for not being there when i was really needed. But not as if you plan an accident. so i couldnt have known.

Now the constant vigil on garion begins, because not a chance in hell are we going to keep all those bandages on him without it, can barely keep his clothes on.

yeah things like that are never fun.
But it’s good to know that the both of you know how to keep your cool and do what’s needed in a situation like that.
Glad to hear Garion is doing ok and that he was so good during the whole thing. A brave lil man indeed :)
Goodluck keeping the bandages on him heheh.
